So, you've thought about getting a dog for quite some time.
It's a big decision, one that will stay with you for years. You've decided on the breed - a Golden Retriever, of course. You've decided to make the commitment. Now it's time to find the puppy that is just right for you. But how do you know what that puppy will be like when it gets older? Joachim and Wendy Volhard developed a screening test to help assess puppy behavior as it relates to future development. This test, called the Puppy Aptitude Test (P.A.T. for short), is done for all our puppies and a copy of the results are always provided to new owners.
For more information on the Puppy Aptitude Test please follow this link. As with many things in life, the test results are an indicator, not a guarantee of future behavior.
We also have some advice and tips for new owners. Puppies provide unconditional love to their humans, but we as owners have a responsibility to teach them well. Feel free to call us.
